Dating: Single or Group dates?

I have always wondered what is better single or group dates?  I know there is nothing more daunting than meeting a person for the first time.  In essence a lot of the meetings on RHP are blind dates, and sometimes you just don’t want to go by yourself when you first meet someone.  That is totally cool, but some people prefer going alone to scope out their potential match before introducing them to their friends.  What is right for you is completely dependent on the individual but RHP is here to make the decision that little bit easier for you.

Single dates offer more one on one time, it allows you to communicate with one another without the distraction of friends asking your date 20 questions.  If your date is there with only your posse around they may feel they are being bombarded or scrutinised.  If you do go on a group date it would be an idea for two of your friends and two of his friends to come along to mix it up a little.  If you do opt for the single date but feel slightly uncomfortable make sure it’s somewhere very public and where you get a chance to get to know them better.  If the group date is solely to give yourself a chance for an early escape in case they are a dud date, there are better ways to go about it.

Some other key points for your single date;

- Make sure you have a range of topics to discuss
- A daytime meeting is a more casual, less pressure option
- Don’t tell them your life story, keep it fairly laid back without your bad experiences thrown in the mix, you want fun and flirty not tragic
- Compliment your date on their attire or hair
- Remain positive, don’t complain about anything no matter how difficult that may be
- Listen to what they say, that way they know you care about their interests
- Always meet in a public place, always keep your personal safety in mind

For a group date;

- Be sure to interact with your date and not just let them converse with other people in the group
- At some point in the evening wander off even just for 10 minutes so you at least have some alone time together
- A nice bar or casual yet trendy restaurant is a great place for group dates
- Social drinking is fine in this instance but don’t get too carried away

Group dates are a fun option but make sure you arrange to have a single date the next time.  This let’s your date know you want to get to know them in a more intimate situation.  Now that you have these options start browsing the gorgeous guys and girls on RHP for your next single or group date!
