Love Match – how to tell if they’re for you

I am sure plenty of you RHPers have been contacted by potential matches. Speaking on chat and via emails you get to know the person and their interests. How can you be sure your interests are compatible though? Whether you like the same crowds and/ or have the same taste in music? It can be as simple as asking your love interest where they like to go out on the weekend. Believe it or not, much of the time this can say a lot about the person and the way they are socially. Below is rundown of different types of hot spots and what they can say about you or your future partner.
The Up Market Bar/ Club This person is sophisticated and is usually well groomed with perfect hair, nails and clothes. You will find metrosexuals at these venues and women who like the finer things in life. Most people who attend the up market bars and clubs have a tendency to buy clothes from designer boutiques in trendy suburbs. The women are usually immaculately presented and often businessmen can be found after a hard days work sipping on overpriced beer.
Run of the Mill Bar This person is casual, goes with the flow, enjoys unwinding in a relaxed atmosphere and is in no way high maintenance. Not ones to be fussy, they often shop for clothes that look good rather than what clothing label they are. Again this type of person is quite social but is really just about having a good time and enjoying the atmosphere with friends.
Venues with live bands This person has a love of music; it is a big part of them so it would be good if you were into the band scene so you have a common interest. This person is fun loving, it is more about the music and atmosphere to them rather than socialising. They can be boisterous but are friendly and approachable.
Clubs No matter what club it is undeniable if people are going regularly to a club they are party animals. They love to get out there and get their freak on the dance floor so if you want to keep up you must go with the flow and put your party shoes on.
Multi zone venues There are some places that have a variety of different sections from a live band, dance, r ‘n’ b/ hip hop, drum ‘n’ bass all in the one venue. This says the person likes variety, likes to change it up and likes things that are convenient.
House Parties This person hates the hustle and bustle of clubs and pubs and prefers to chill out with a few mates. They value their friendships highly and are loyal to a fault. You may find they want the pair of you to hang out with their friends all the time instead of having some time for just the two of you. There is always ways they can be coaxed into a little alone time with you. Be proactive with them and create a nice date you know they will enjoy away from their friends.
Stay at home If your love interest is the type that tends to stay home on the weekends you might be staying in a lot (not that that is necessarily a bad thing) if you date them. This person doesn’t like to socialise often preferring to relax at home with a nice movie. This can be good in the winter months but when summer is around take them out and let them catch some sun! So next time you chat to a prospective partner on RHP and want to create a date you will both enjoy, just ask what they like to do on the weekend and it will give you an understanding of what they like and how they interact socially. Let RHP know how these tips work for you as we always appreciate your feedback.
