Can I Change Her Mind?
Well I have never been on a date or even kissed another woman in my life. I just really wanted to focus on getting a career before I saw anyone. That was until just over two yrs ago. I had a severe stroke, and if they didn't find me in time I could have died. I thought I wasted my time studying and not having anyone in my life. So I promised myself to make a move when I find a person I really like.
Just four months ago I met this amazing woman at the gym, I introduced myself and we became good friends. We slowly were getting to know one another and I made a move and asked her out for dinner as a date (this was two months ago). She said no, didn't tell me why and said she just wants to be friends. Since then we continued like that day never happened. I want to fight for her and show her how much I care! I really like her and I am wondering if there is anything I can do to impress her?
It can be a wake up call when we realise we have spent our life on things that don't matter as much as we thought in the end. So I totally understand your desire to throw yourself head long into a relationship. In fact it is that enthusiasm for life that will get the girl in the end. However, just a tip: You have to be careful that your new found zest doesn't focus all your attention on one person at the expense of all the other wonderful people around you, like you did before with your career.
That said impressing a girl is a very individual thing. Some like strong and dominant, some like sensitive and talkative. The only thing all women have in common is humour and persistence. If you can laugh together regularly and light heartedly remind her that she might as well go out with you now because you are only going to ask again tomorrow, you have a good chance of raising her curiosity and getting your first date. I suggest you tell her your situation, as it's rather unique and many girls would feel special that they were the one chosen to give your life new meaning. If none of that works and she starts growing colder then its time to avoid an AVO by moving on and reminding yourself that life is too short and there are plenty more fish in YES.
