hi, i have a male friend who's my age (28); and he's told me he's thinking bout getting using viagra to have more fun in bed w his gfriend. other than being worried he doesnt last long enuf - or at all sometimes - i can't see why he'd wana use it- he is a great lover from the belt up! (he's an x of mine) is he a little young to be seeking this sort of staying power?

It is true that guys these days can feel under pressure to perform like porn stars and this can lead them to take unnecessary medications. In addition Viagra isn't designed to make him last longer ejaculation wise, only stay harder and avoid flaccidity.
The biggest down side to him taking the Viagra may be the fact that he will further degrade his obviously deteriorating self esteem. This means he may get to a point where he believes he can't perform at all without it. At 28 he should be loaded with dick pulsing testosterone and if it's not standing on orders then he may be better seeing a doctor to test his levels before self medicating and potentially making things worse.
The mind is a far more powerful tool than any little blue pill so for his future wellbeing and the satisfaction of his partners, he would be smart to look into what is causing his perceived dysfunction and deal with that instead. It may be a hard pill to swallow so to speak but it's probably his thinking that's going soft, not his manhood.
