To Call or Not to Call
Hi, I've been dating this guy for about a month now. He works full time in a busy job. I work casual. I enjoy his company and I'm sure he enjoys mine. My question is, there's times where I'd like to call him through the day just to say hi, but I'm not sure whether to call or not, he could be busy. Since I've known him, he's always called me. Should I keep it at that?
To call or not to call that is the question, whether its nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of wondering 'Am I being a pain and bothering him at work or not'. Well the solution is really simple. SMS or email. Both these technologies say 'I'm thinking of you but don't want to bother you'.
I must say as busy people neither of us much appreciate a call 'Just to say hi' usually it comes at the most inopportune moment and you end up being short or off hand which you then feel bad about. So tell 'em with a text. They can read it at their leisure and respond when they have time. No pressure!
