How to tell someone you are not interested in them?

would it be considered rude to tell someone no thanks or you are not interested in them if they originally contact you?

its just good manners

i think most people would prefer a polite no than no response at all, i know i wouldn't get upset if someone said no to me.

I think it would be more polite to say no thanks rather than to totally ignore them or lead them on.

At least all know where they stand

Personally I dont believe its rude. Least you are being upfront about it and not stringing the guy along. The worst thing is to drag it out.

hello everybody,

I don't respond to the ones I am not interested in because some guys just don't get the point and just keep trying even if you say you are not interested in them.

It would be Good Manners to let them know.

Simple no thanks but I'm not interested never hurt anyone !
At least guys get the message loud and clear and know where they stand with the girl...( unless your male ego is bigger than " REALITY " ).
Girls who take the few seconds to type the message says alot about your personality ( you care :-) ) and should be RESPECTED more because you're a true " LADY " with cultured manners and not " SELFISH " ! (wink, wink)
Just my 2 cents worth guys.
Love ya'll

Definitely say so from the beginning. If you don't make yourself clear from the start, they may think that there is a 1% chance you are interested in that is enough for some eager beavers to keep at you lol

You have to be open and honest. I've lead some guys along without realsing it and it wasn't pretty.
