Live the life you’ve imagined.” This little phrase, written by Henry David Thoreau and adopted from a coffee mug by me, spurred me to move 5, 000 miles away from home to attend graduate school in England. A re-evaluation of my life at a critical time made me realize that I wasn’t where I was supposed to be and that there is a huge world out there that I was depriving myself of.
I've always gone after what I want and although the results may not have always been desired, I consider all of my life journeys as powerful lessons that are shaping who I am. I am a curious, knowledge hungry person - even for the trivial stuff. I love to laugh and make others do the same and am always willing to offer my two cents on any matter :). My friends and family consistently tell me that I am brave, spirited, and adorable and that I have hilarious facial expressions. Most days, I am a ball of energy, but I also have no problem with kicking back with a good book, movie, or companion for a lazy day. I am very open with who I am and what I believe, but I can become occasionally guarded and shy. I can be serious, as well as a big kid, and I hope to find someone that shares that quality. I prefer “get-togethers” and barbeques with friends and family over noisy, smoky bars, but every so often, I MUST go dancing. I love to sing in the car, the shower, the kitchen, wherever….except on a stage
